RATIOS :O
Hey Guys,
So hasn’t this been a great assignment! First of all step 1 was rather challenging the ratios were pretty fun until something strange happened, which happened to me basically two ratios in HAHA. But in all seriousness it’s done and im rather happy with the outcome. There were ups and downs with the ratios where it wouldn’t work and i needed to seek advice from the forums but they helped me out so much, and the examplars on moodle were extremely helpful.
Being a previous geography student for each piece of work we had to do whether it be homework an assignment or exam we had to create proposals. Step 2 was exceptionally fun, i don’t think i should have had that much fun creating these proposals but it was. Adding accounting to the subject i love was the best, and by far with any other assignment this is the one im the most happiest with.
Monday the 6th of June is approaching really fast and thats rather sad because that means this is our last assignment for this assessment 😦 this subject has been rather fun. Moodle was a struggle to use for the first 8 weeks but i got there in the end!

Capital Investment Decision
HEY GUYS,
So for my capital Investment Decision I had to create two proposals and they are as followed:
“Ridley Corporation has slowly purchased many Australian agricultural businesses over the years and has since then become Australia’s leading provider of animal nutrition solutions. Since they’re always looking for opportunities to expand they came across two companies that seem very appealing to them, but they can only invest in one. The first business is Agri-food, this is a fairly large and successful business but in recent times it’s had a lot of trouble financially, they’re on the final end and will soon close down leaving people without jobs and many of the local regional farmers without feed.  Ridley Corporation will estimate to have this facility for 10 years, and then will late on sell it to another local agricultural company. The second business is HYU Stock feed, located in tropical North Queensland in Mackay. This is a prime location due to the annual amount of rainfall the area receives; its port would be able to cater for exporting and for future developments importing. The potential investment to this small company may create jobs for the locals relieving some pressure of families in the area, creating better well beings for not only shareholders but for locals too. Ridley has estimated that this proposal will be profitable and will pay for itself over the course of 8 years then they will have no intentions of selling if that’s the case, once 10 years is up they will have a review on income vs expenses and see what the best move is.”

I loved the layout of this blog, it has been set out beautifully which makes it very user friendly. Easy to navigate around all the posts and loved the addition of having the reminders calendar on the right hand side telling us when the next step is due. Once again this layout is very aesthetically pleasing very simple but the dark contrast makes it easier on the eyes. The little spiel about herself was the best I’ve read (not biased at all because I love travel), over 30 countries is very impressive.

A couple years later in 1990 the company purchased Barastoc Stockfeeds, again in 1992 they acquired Cheetham Salt Limited which aided in their expansion to be one of Australia’s leading provider in animal nutrition solutions. My name is Lachlan and I went to Mackay State High School from grade 8 to 12, I love to travel (dream holiday is to the States), cooking is another hobby of mine so is fishing. First year studying Accounting and first year starting Uni.
